Article #1: A Tongan Royal Visits the Center

On Monday, August 8th, the Polynesian Cultural Center was privileged to host Tongan royalty – Honorable Lupepau’u Tuita Taione, who is the eldest daughter of Princess Pilolevu and Noble Tuita. She is the niece of the current King of Tonga and was in Hawaii to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Tonga High School as their honored guest.

After greeting her at the Hukilau Marketplace, President and Val Grace hosted her at the Ali’i Lu’au and HĀ: Breath of Life. Although she has been to the Center several times, she had never seen our current Lu’au and night show which she appeared to enjoy very much.
