The PCC, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013, is in the process of completing $100 million in facility and experiential improvements over a five-year period, of which includes Hawaiian Journey, PCC’s all-new immersive cinematic experience that debuted in March 2013.

An original production, Hawaiian Journey tells the story of native Hawaiians and their connection to the aina (land), transporting guests into gorgeous imagery of Hawaii as they experience crashing waves, mystic valleys, and powerful eruptions through interactive special effects.
Other recent improvements of note that guests can look forward to include the following:

Renovated Aotearoa (New Zealand) Village, featuring new carvings on the Marae (sacred place for cultural protocol and social gatherings) paying tribute to Hawaikiroa, an ancient Polynesian navigator.

A new Hawaii Village with a design and presentation inspired by the ahupuaa (land division used by ancient Hawaiians, usually extending from the uplands to the sea) that features new activities, architecture and exhibits honoring the native Hawaiian culture.

Renovation of Hale Aloha, home to the award-winning Alii Luau experience that features delicious cuisine, with the lively entertainment of the Hawaiian Islands.

Revitalized Samoa Village, which is historically one of PCC’s most popular venues due to its exciting presentations, including the tree climbing and coconut husking demonstrations.

The PCC is open Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays. For more information or to make reservations visit www.PCCKamaaina.com, or call the PCC ticket office at (800) 367-7060. On Oahu, call 293-3333.
