Polynesian Cultural Center Offers All Of The Fun For Half The Price

50 Percent Discount On Kamaaina Annual Passes Through May 31
Laie, Hawaii – April 11, 2012 – Now through May 31, 2012, Polynesian Cultural Center offers Hawaii residents a 50 percent discount off of its Kamaaina Annual Pass, the only pass required to experience all of Polynesia.

Kamaaina Annual Pass holders enjoy a year’s worth of benefits taking them and their guests on an immersive journey through the unique cultures of Polynesia. In addition to unlimited admission, pass holders are also eligible for free seating at Ha: Breath of Life (upon availability), a 20 percent discount on admission for up to four non-kamaaina guests and updates through the complimentary e-newsletter. Additional benefits include free parking on their next return visit, discounts at the PCC’s Event Network gift shops, special rates on lunch and dinner, and free admission to select special events, including next month’s 20th Annual World Fireknife Championship and Halloween festivities in October.

“Next year we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary and, for nearly five decades, our kamaaina customers have supported us every step of the way. The Kamaaina Annual Pass Special is a small token of our appreciation,” said Raymond Magalei, director of marketing for the PCC, “With the 20th anniversary of the World Fireknife Championships right around the corner, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this special offer.”

Over the past two decades, the World Fireknife Championship has become one of PCC’s hottest tickets. Last year, the sold-out event hosted over 35 of the world’s best fireknife dancers, each vying for the title “World Fireknife Champion.”

Through May 31, 2012, Kamaaina Annual Passes are marked down from $54.95 to $27.47 for adults and from $29.95 to $14.97 for keiki. This special is only available to local residents; must have Hawaii driver’s license or state identification when picking up pass.

Founded in 1963 as a non-profit organization, the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) has entertained more than 36 million visitors, while preserving and portraying the culture, arts and crafts of Polynesia to the rest of the world. In addition, the PCC has provided financial assistance to nearly 17,000 young people from more than 70 different countries while they attend Brigham Young University-Hawaii. As a non-profit organization, 100 percent of PCC’s revenue is used for daily operations and to support education.
