Polynesian Cultural Center Launches ‘PCC Agent

Travel Agent Booking Upgrades

New B2B Booking System Provides Access Anytime, Anywhere’
Laie, HI – February 6, 2012 – The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) is starting off the new year with a significant upgrade to its agent booking system. “PCC Agent” now allows travel agents to easily book reservations at one of Hawaii’s top attractions seamlessly, from anywhere in the world. With just a few clicks agents can send their clients on a winding canoe tour through the PCC’s 42 acres, on a cultural journey through six island villages, to a feast at the award winning Alii Luau or the newly renovated Gateway or through a captivating tale at the critically acclaimed evening show Ha: Breath of Life.

PCC Agent, based on the TicketSage platform, places an emphasis on travel agency integration. The new system makes it easier while increasing access to other account information anytime, anywhere.

“We want our clients to experience the real culture of the Hawaiian islands and the Pacific, which is why our agents enjoy offering the Polynesian Cultural Center. Having PCC Agent as a booking tool now makes it even easier for our agents to book and sell PCC,” said Brent Jenson, vice president of Morris Murdock Travel in Salt Lake City, Utah. “Morris Murdock Travel has enjoyed a relationship with the Polynesian Cultural Center and our clients have had the benefit of all it has to offer for over 20 years.”

PCC Agent allows agencies to register online and book orders directly without having to go through the general call center or a wholesaler. As a result, PCC is much more accessible to tour and travel partners, making distance or geographical location irrelevant. Agents are also now able to book specific seats for the Ha: Breath of Life evening show, adding flexiblity for groups of any size and making sure their customers have the best seats available

“Travel agents are essential partners and a vital link to our guests,” said Alfred Grace, PCC chief operating officer. “We’ve listened to input from agents and other travel and tour partners, and PCC Agent is the result of that feedback, providing customized tools that make their jobs easier. Ensuring that our partners have the resources they need is as important as any other enhancement to our operations. Agents are often our first ambassadors to the world.”

The launch of PCC Agent is part of the PCC’s five-year investment plan to enhance its activities, shows, restaurants, retail operations and, in the case of PCC Agent, business-to-business booking system.
