POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER HOSTS SUMMER CONCERT FEATURING ANUHEA AND NESIAN N.I.N.E

Popular Local Artists to Perform in PCC’s Newly Renovated Gateway Venue on July 6
Laie, Hawaii – June 04, 2012 – Na Hoku Hanohano award-winner Anuhea and local group Nesian N.I.N.E., two of Hawaii’s most popular local acts, will perform live at the Polynesian Cultural Center’s (PCC) newly renovated Gateway venue on July 6, 2012.

With a delicate balance of fragility, strength and sass, singer/songwriter Anuhea blends engaging lyrics, acoustic soul, pop, rap and reggae into a style that has earned her a reputation as Hawaii’s top female artist. Anuhea’s signature guitar rhythms, sultry vocals and honest song writing weave acoustic soul, R&B, jazz and hip hop with pop appeal, making Anuhea Hawaii’s rising star.

Nesian N.I.N.E (Natives Inna New Era) has been together since 2008 and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Boyz II Men and Brian McKnight. Their incorporation of old school vibes blended with just the right touch of island feel allows them to do it all, from reggae, R&B and soul ballads, to old school.

“We are very excited to host Hawaii’s brightest musical stars at the PCC. The July 6 concert is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. in the PCC’s grandiose new Gateway special events venue. The 24,400-square-foot venue provides an ideal location for concerts and features shell torches that supply ambient lighting along with a state-of-the-art cooling system, which continually circulates the air in Gateway, enhancing the natural breeze that runs through the restaurant.
