Aloha PCC Ohana,

We thank all those who have participated in the initial opt-in application process for the voluntary separation incentive (VSI). We understand that many are still interested, undecided, or have not yet had the chance to discuss benefit-related matters with DMBA, etc. That said we are officially extending the VSI opt-in period to Wednesday 7/16/2020 by 5:00 pm. Several of you have inquired how the VSI or ISP impacts the unemployment approval process. We can confirm than any acceptance of a VSI application will not disqualify an individual from being able to claim unemployment benefits.
