Congratulations to our graduates; plus an update on closure

Aloha!

I hope final exams went well for all our student employees last week. For those who graduated, congratulations! I am sorry you were not able to experience the “pomp and circumstance” that normally accompanies graduation and especially having your families, friends and loved ones here to celebrate this great achievement with you.

The Polynesian Cultural Center has now been closed for five weeks. The “stay at home/work from home” orders issued by Mayor Caldwell and Governor Ige are scheduled to end April 30, but there is a good possibility they will be extended further. These “stay at home/work from home” orders do allow companies to perform minimal necessary activities to maintain the value of their inventory (property, goods on hand and contents of a building), and to also ensure it is secure. However, it is very important that any PCC employees asked to perform these tasks do so in strict compliance with health and safety guidelines including maintaining a distance of at least six feet from each other, washing hands regularly, and wearing a face mask. To help make sure we all comply with health and safety guidelines, we will be releasing a PCC Coronavirus Policy very shortly.

Mahalo!
