Candlelight Vigil For Japan To Be Held At Polynesian Cultural Center
Students, Friends and Families Join in Support of Japan and to Lift Spirits
Laie, HI – March 16, 2011 – The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) family of employees and BYU-Hawaii students will band together to host a candlelight prayer vigil tonight for the victims of the earthquakes and subsequent tsunamis in Japan. The vigil will be held from 9 to 10 p.m. at Hale Kuai.
“Numerous members of our PCC family have ties to Japan and are deeply affected by the tragic events on March 11 and the continuing aftermath,” said Alfred Grace, PCC COO. “Our employees have taken the initiative to put on this vigil that we hope will bring light and awareness to the suffering and endurance of the people of Japan in their time of need. Although we are unable to be there physically, we hope to send support across the pacific through our thoughts and prayers.”
