Birdseye view of a lot of water, Jared Pere does good and some sound advice

Here are some amazing views of “Lake PCC”, courtesy of Spencer Ingley and his Mavic 2 Pro. Yes, it was quick, yes, it was scaryand yes, it caused damage in and around Laie – but we are grateful that the damage did not include loss of life and for a beautiful community that comes together to support one another in times of need.

Kamehameha Schools carves partnership with the Polynesian Cultural Center

Hoʻokahua Cultural Specialist and Kaʻiwakīloumoku carver Kumulaʻau Sing KSK’89 collaborated with Maōri master carver Jared Pere of the Polynesian Cultural Center (left) to create a poupou – or ancestral post – as a tribute to esteemed Māori elder Sir Hector Busby.
